There seem to be different number series for the 4070, just as for the SR-007 and such.
My 4070 have serial SY1-107X, and was made in July 2007.

So sadly I can't help out much, other than mentioning that they were introduced in 2001 and are BTO (Built To order).

The new Stax serial numbers vary from location to location so there is no way to know when they were made. There are how ever two versions of the 4070, those made before 2002 and those made after 2002. The older ones couldn't swivel fully as the housings were too wide so they didn't fit everybody. Stax made the housings slimmer so they could swivel fully and made the fit universal.

Man, how do I confirm the date of made?

this may be a bit simple but have you tried emailing STAX and asking?
