Hi.
Soon I'm expecting a Zhaolu 2.0 DAC in my mail so I'm going digital out via toslink. I'm also building a brand new computer with a motherboard that supports Optical out.
I read somewhere in head-fi that digital out bypasses the soundcard's dac thus audio quality will relate to the external source (Zhaolu DAC and PA2V2 amp in my case)
My question is: Would there be any difference if I use the SPDIF on my motherboard or the SPDIF out via AV-710? (likewise question: is there a difference between a 25$ AV-710 and 100$+ xxx soundcard when going Optical out?)
thanks
