Hi everyone!
I'm planning to buy a Little Dot mkiii and use it on my speakers and headphones.
But I have a question: if I plug in both RCA and headphone jacks, which equipment is going to play — the speakers or headphones?

Thank you for your time in answering this question!

Both will play at the same time as both outputs are tied together.

Or let me put it this way.
As I listen to music with my speakers mostly, and listen with headphones occasionally, would it be a problem if I plug in the headphones when I wanna use it and turn down the volume of the speakers to zero (mute)?
Will the performance in driving the headphones be significantly affected while plugging in the speakers?

Thanks!

These are active speakers or are you going through an amplifier? Either way the input impedance of the amp or active speakers will be high enough and should not have any effect on the headphone output.

You are most welcome!

I have a Little Dot MKIV that I use primarily for headphones, but I have connected my 2.1 desktop speakers to it on occasion, but I had shut the speakers off instead of muting them. When you get your MK III, test to see which way works best for you.

You are right!
I've completely forgotten there's a power switch behind the speakers. LOL
