Question about Beyerdynamic DT 880 Box/Packaging

After doing a lot of research and listening to a variety of the Sennheiser cans I’ve decided to give the DT 880s a try. I found a farily good deal for a supposedly new pair on ebay. They are listed as being the latest version but the picture of the box differs from the HeadRoom box photo and I was wondering if anyone here knows if the ebay auction is either the older model or one from outside the U.S.

The first pic is DT880 PRO, second is the regular DT880.
Both are current/latest. They are the models from 2005 onwards IIANM.
For the differences between the PRO and non PRO, you'll have to do a search, I'm not too sure myself.

Thanks. I didn't realize they made two different dt 880 models. Time to search some more.

It seems to me that the only difference is the metal plate and the button down headband on the Pros. Kinda like the DT770pro's.

IIANM, the PROs have more clamping force, and that allegedly alters the sound a little.
