has anyone else seen the commercial for viagra containing "we are the champions" all i could think was "noooooooooo" of all things sacred. this song for viagra? king mercury must be rolling over in his grave, even with his documented sexual history even he could not be pleased with this one. i guess the boys are getting a little low on cash.

Yes, I've seen them. I usually switch channels when that one comes on. Not because they're using a classic Queen song, but because the commercial is so poorly made. They also just have to toss in the token old guy and man in a wheelchair. All in all, a very bad concept and insulting to our intelligence.

They should go back to the older "Good Morning" ads. Those ones were humorous, at least.

"We Are The Champions" is sacred? Out of all of rock history it would probably be one of the last I'd apply that to ("We Will Rock You" may be second). Junior High School basketball games probably killed it a loooonnnngggg time ago.

When I first read this thread I was going to reply:

"Calling we are the champions a sacred song is funny. I put that song(not all queen, just those songs) in the same "jock rock" category as Eye of the Tiger by Survivor."

Then the thread turned towards pee-pee jokes and I figured I wouldn't say anything.

Then I re-read what I wrote and figured it actually fit rather nicely.

Male impotence is a very serious issue, and I can assure you that most of people (men, including me) contributing to this thread will have to face up that problem when we grow older or for some even in a younger age. IMO we’re the champions commercial is trying to encourage men to not be shy of asking their doctor for Viagra—the object might be to sell Viagra, but it is for a positive cause.

When you "could not stand and deliver" then your self-esteem will take a higher priority than some ‘song’.
