Quality difference if balance isn't 1:1?

Hi, I've recently been told my right ear will be slightly deaf (only hearing around 65% of what I would normally hear) permanently, this has obviously had quite a large impact on headphone listening as everything seems a little lopsided, less soundstage, missing more subtle notes/sounds in my right ear and the centre is no longer where it should be, but feels (as you can imagine) more to the left.
Unfortunately my ears don't have a balance option, but fortunately my source does, in this case a FiiO E10.

My main question is, would changing the balance have a negative impact on sound quality? I would have thought not seeing as I'm just bumping the volume on one side but I'm a little unsure, my balance at the minute is around 70/100, thanks!

I wouldn't think so. No more loss of quality than if you change the volume of both channels.
In any case, it must sound better than a lopsided sound, so that would make it an improvement in sound quality in my book.

It did make sense to me that there would be no quality different, but I thought I'd ask, thanks!
