Since the Mogami Quad has 4 core wires and a 3.5mm jack only requires 3, do I just leave the 4th cable disconnected from everything or have 2 ground wires??

yesit is possible to do both ways, but preferable to use 2 ground. having a cable that is more effectively grounded is always a good thing

hey qusp, I've got a question about wire, signal and conduction:
Is a bigger gauge for ground in comparison to the signal prefered?
I mean, it takes the -part from both +signals together, so should it be a fatter wire or doesn't that make any difference?

yes absolutely; especially if you are using only a 3 wire braid like you seem to do with all cables I have sen of yours.

yes should be fatter ideally. but really for best results you should be having a wire for each return. so a 4 wire braid is preferred. also IU see you mixing silver and copper. this is good, but I have seen you recently post a cable where you used the silver for signal and copper for return. and you only had one return. this can congest the signal as it is actually very important to have an efficient path to ground. ideally you should have copper on signal and silver on return and 2 wires for return. YMMV but thats the way I find works best

Thanks, I'm going to use your advice on the next cables I'm gonna make
