Q701 with Yamaha receiver?

Yes the receiver you speak of will do just fine as long it has a functioning headphone jack.

The Q701 is a 62 Ohm load with a sensitivity of 105dB making it actually easy to drive.

Where exactly did you read that they require a lot of power?

My Yamaha RX-V671 receiver can drive my 600-Ohm headphones.
The cheapest Yamaha receiver (RX-V371) is rated for headphones up to 450-Ohms
So your 62-Ohm AKG Q701 should be easily be driven by the RX-V565.
The receiver should even up the loudness a little of the Q701's bass.

While reading reviews on amazon it was mentioned a few times that they need a bit of power.

"A very good buy for indoor use and with a good amplifier. I have to push my amp significantly higher to get the same sound level as the other headphones I own. As others users said, beware of the 68 Ohms, this set feels like a 250 Ohms maybe."

I'm glad to hear that my receiver should be able to power them though. I really appreciate the feedback from both of you
