I've just had an epiphany with me Sennheiser PX200's!!! I finally figured out how to wear the properly! Several people had mentioned using them 'forward and down' from where you might naturally put them. I gave it a try, and it improved no end! And then I bent the headband ever so slightly, and that helped a bit more too! Hurrah

Earlier, I'd been listening to my wife's PX100's, and they sounded good, with shed loads of bass - perhaps too much

. However, now I've got the PX200's sorted, I personally think they sound better - they still have enough bass for me, but not too much.

I'll be testing them out on my commute tomorrow, so I'll see what the isolation is like...

Agreed. Bass response with the PX200 is all about positioning. Get it right and the low end blossoms. The problem is I have trouble finding the same position so every time I put them on there is a certain amount of experimentation involved.

I think I'm getting the hang of it now, so fingers crossed.

They've had around 50 hours of burn in already with some random stuff, but I think I'm going to slap them in to shape with some Prodigy over night

where did you bend the headband? I've a rather small skull and the PX200's don't hold tight enough to get a good seal. If I hold them, I can get great sound, but they wont do it on their own. I've refrained from trying to bend the top of the headband because it's plastic and I don't want it to break.

It was just on the outside ends of each side of the 'sennheiser' logo on the top of the band, just about where the pads are. I just applied a little pressure on the band, nothing too strong as, like you said, I don't want to break them!

Hope that helps

I'm sorry for the massive bump, but it seems if I were to purchase the PX200's, i would also need to bend them. I tried them on, but my skull is too narrow for them to push against my ears hard enough. How much would you say that you could safely bend them without them snapping? $50 is a lot of money to risk on something like that...

I'm a member of Team Giant Head, so I only had to apply a slight adjustment to the band to get a better seal. So if you have a narrow skull you might have to bend them quite a lot

. I guess that if there's any doubt in your mind, don't do it!

I burned them in for about 100 hours now and they sound great! Right when I put them on I get a good seal, so I must be lucky. But yeah if you tryto bend to metal on the head band, It can sound loads better..
