Hi all.
I just took delivery of my Amiron Homes (my first real headphone) and am loving it. After all that forum reading to decide on the Amirons, I'm now embarking on research into headphone amps. I'll likely want to do a higher-end DIY headphone amp soon, but for now...

My amp, like most I guess, has a crude headphone output. Would it be crazy to build a small amp that would fit INSIDE my amp? Here are some pics:

The circuit that's there now:

The top-right corner is where it resides:

Assuming this is a reasonable project, can you suggest a design? Also, how would I power it?

Thanks!

Maybe you should look back again at your Introductions thread and read my last post. Yes, you can probably do this, but for the effort it will take, you would be better off by building a separate device.

Oops. Yeah, I think I had a brain fart there. Sorry! Your advice has been heeded and I'm now in search of the perfect DIY headphone amp. It's out there, I'm sure.
