Do people find the AD2000 at all Sibilant?

yeah, I think if anything it is less sibilant than the D5000 so you should be good.  It's a great headphone, with a pretty unique sound.

edit:  though I haven't head an LA5000.  But as far as I know the LA mods don't decrease sibilance.

If you mean the ATH-AD2000, then no not at all. Depends on the recording though.
I miss that headphone. Anyone know if the W1000X pads fit them?

I really hope you hate the Ad2000...Only so they end up in the used section here!

May I ask why? Artificial , bloating bass ? or High frequency too extended ( I am trying to be nice here)? In a short term, are they incoherent ?

I am looking at the AD7000 but I am also curious about the AD2000/5000.

You're confusing the Denon D2000/D5000/D7000 with Audio Technica's AD2000. I only said what I said as a joke though, I've been keeping my eyes peeled for a cheap used pair of the AD2000 to show up so I can buy.

He just meant that he wants the OP to hate them, so that he'll sell them in the for sale section for a discount off of the original price.

Also, I think you may be confusing brands. There are Denon AH-D2000/5000/7000, and there are Audio Technica ATH-AD700/900/1000/2000 etc.

Edit: keanex posted when I was typing up my post. Oh well.

Thats good, the D5000 was sometimes a bit sibilant to my ears, oddly.
