Currently own HD 600 and Magni 2, Modi 2 stack.  I just moved to HD 800 Lyr2 and keeping my Modi 2 for now.  I should be getting them Thursday or Friday.
 
What do you think I'll notice with this move?

The HD800 is a top-tier headphone remaining one of if not the best imaging headphone.
 
Be sure to give them two weeks of "brain filter" break in.  If you find the HD800 a tad too bright be sure to check out this mod which from my experience with the HD800 is a must:

Once modified the HD800 becomes one of the most dynamic and and engaging headphones I have heard.

I listened to the 800's last night using my Magni 2 / Modi stack.  I definitely moved to the next level over my 600's.  I noticed the treble was a little harsh.  Today my Lyr 2 came in and going to a tube amp smoothed out the brightness a bit - a real plus.  I'm saving the link you sent - definitely want to look into it after the break-in period.
