have read numberous threads about how the performance of the audiophile usb is getting better with a power supply-upgrade. now i'm wondering about brands (elpac, stancor), connection to the unit, models, and the most important thing, it has to be 220v...
what about power cable from the psu to the wall. some suggestions on a very good, not too expensive one?

any advice would i be happy to get!

An Elpac would probably suit you fine. Check the DIY forum for recommendations. What kind of connector does the Audiophile have? What power (I assume 5V)? mouser.com and digikey.com have Elpac supplies, and if you have a soldering iron, you can buy the DIN and plug connectors to adapt the power.
