I want to get these but some people say bad things about these,im not a dj or anything and the comfort is not an issue,im just going to be using these at home for the bass

Comfort will eventually become an issue when you're wearing headphones for longer than a half hour. The main criticism of these is that while they deliver gobs of well-articulated bass, the mids and highs won't be as loud or clear

Are you asking about the ATH-PRO700SV or the ATH-PRO700MK2?

ATH-PRO700 and ATH-PRO700MK2 are two different models, the latter being an upgrade to the former.

In any case, what are your listening habits? Music, games, movies? If music, which genres do you listen to?

The ATH-PRO700MK2 are a valid upgrade to the ATH-PRO700, but have you considered the Ultrasone HFI-580?

Also, what is your budget, and are you using a PC or PMP, as well as running them straight from the source or using a headphone amp?

Yes but I have heard the Pro700mk2 have better impact. Or which ever you think ia best for a serious basshead. Im gonna spend around $200 and I will most likley get the fiio E11

Ive had the MK2s for about 2 months now paired with an E11. This is a great set up, especially with an EQ app. The pads they come are not great but you can replace the pads for about $15 (usd) with ath-m50 ore shure 840 pads. i got the 840 pads and have no more complaints.
