I don't think I've ever shared this with the forum...

My favorite radio (yes radio) show "Stone Trek" is monday-Friday nights, from 10-12, and Sunday from 9-11 PM. In San jose its broadcasted on 98.5 FM. The host Greg Stone plays a broad range of fusion, Prog Rock and jazz. I've been tuning in since I was ~13-14, back when it was broadcasted out of SF.

Anyhoot...

Heres the URL, click on the listen live link during the forementioned times. Audio quality kind of sucks though

Sorry for completely ignoring your actual post content, I was only reading the title when I responded

For prog metal (if we're talking about that too), I really like Dream Theater (which happens to be in your signature). I liked Liquid Tension Experiment for a while, but instrumental music gets boring fast for me.

You should check out Ayreon. He's this folk/prog metal composer dude. My friend's a really big fan of him, and I like him quite a bit as well.

Also how about Opeth? My friend has been telling me that most of their songs are hit and miss for him (mostly miss). He sent me one song that he claimed was one of their good ones (Burden) but I wasn't really impressed.

Thanks for the link! I listen to jazz fusion almost as much as I listen to death metal. Al Di Meola, Jaco Pastorius, Return To Forever, Weather Report...the list goes on. Great music to get "in the zone" while at work.
