The signature design of our VE 7 is a composition of a dark blue transparent shell and our all new Fire Blaze faceplate. The look of this faceplate is a breathtaking eye-catcher. The material is made of multiple polymer layers which change colors depending on the angle of view. The manufacturer of this patented material has developed this difficult manufacturing process over years and already won two awards for this outstanding material design. A spectacular play of colors which emblazes our VE 7.

Thank you very much! Well, the ESTs are on a different level in terms of extending the high frequencies. But manufacturers of the BA drivers are still finding some tweaks to improve the performance and so do we. There are three drivers inside this model which are brand new on the market and we believe that the performance of the high frequencies is extraordinary for this kind of drivers.

Sorry to hear that, personally I love the look and in nature it is even more impressive due to its reflections and change of colors. But I agree that this is a matter of taste. So if you are looking for a universal which is 100% your style: you can design your own universal in our configurator. We are one of a very few companies who offer customizable UIEM´s.

They are making sure only the hobbiests buy these, for how good they sound. Clearly not trying to sell to the average consumers that Sony, Senn, AKG make their big bucks from. I guess they probably hate money.

No I'm fine with the design. I consider myself a hobbiest so I'd be buying it for the sound. I'm just tryig to help them get paid here. Even if they believe what expensive personal audio to electronics buyers is what luxury handbag to fashion buyers, they have to realize that even in the handbag world, the classic designs sell better than the flamboyant seasonal specials. There's a reason why Sony, Senn, AKG look boring.

Interesting! How does it compare with the 8 or Elysium in terms of pure technical performance?

Well, the driver configuration of the VE7 is totally different compared to the VE8. The VE8 is a 3-way system using 2x Bass, 2x Mids and 4x Highs. And the VE 7 is a 5-way system using 2 x Bass - 2 x Low-Mids - 1 x Mid - 1 x Mid-High - 1x Superhigh. These are only the pure specs but in the end the sound is all that matters. They are all using Balanced Armature drivers, but the VE7 is using two very new drivers from Knowles for the Mid-High and Superhigh section and the performance in this region is outstanding. More texture, details and very vivid. The Elysium is not very comparable to these two. Due to the dynamic drivers for the Mids and the Electrostatics in the Highs, the performance is totally different. The driver count for the Elysium is rather minimalistic, but the tuning of the dynamic driver with our HALC and bringing these three different driver technologies together in such harmony was a huge challenge. But in the end we believe it turned out fantastic. And it was just our very first tries with EST´s and dynamic drivers - so more is about to come
