Hi Everyone,
 
I'm feeling like an idiot. I've been using my Modi 2 / Asgard 2 (and now Valhalla) for a while using the usb connection. However, I recently picked up a Sony DAP that won't play via usb so I need to run the audio through the headphone jack. I tried a couple of different RCA cords (one is pictured) with a 1/8 connector, but have had no luck. Am I doing something wrong here? As an aside, I am clicking over to the O setting on the front of the unit.

I'm confused. All you need is a 3.5mm to RCA cable and you hook up directly to the amp. http://www.amazon.com/Mediabridge-3-5mm-Male-2-Male-Adapter/dp/B004YEBK66/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1441766213&sr=8-1&keywords=3.5mm+to+rca
 
It looks like you are using a 3.5mm to coaxial adapter, then plugging the coaxial into Modi, then running Modi's RCA outputs to Valhalla/Asgard? I don't think you can use Modi like this because 3.5mm is an analog signal that you're plugging into digital (coaxial) adapter so no info gets sent.

So, I'd basically be using the DAC from the Sony player, bypassing the Modi - not using it at all, and going directly to and from either my Valhalla or Asgard? Hoping I'm understanding you.
