Hi everybody,
i recently bought on ebay a recabled (with an unknow brand cable) Sennheiser HD 600. I owe a Rega Ear that previously matched perfectly with a Sennheiser HD 457. Surprise!! plugging The 600 in the REGA EAR, volume is greatly lower than 457 and dynamics are consistently worse too: it lacks of power, deepness, bass, soundstage...everything, as the ampli couldn't drive the headphones properly. In a word not enough power and muddy.
It's a matter of impedance? i guess Rega works on 32 ohm (it's not clear from brochure if it drives inputs from 32 to 600ohm or not or at least i couldn't understand). Anyway HD 457 specification tells of an impedance of 32ohm instead of 300 for the HD 600 and actually 457 sounds better.
What Should i do? it's really a question of impedance there's a solution for that? or i'm obliged to buy another ampli? i read about the Graham Slee Solo and Creek OBH-21 SE that should perfectly match SENN 600. Please help

looking forward of an advice...thanks
