Hope you guys can help. One side of my R10s elastic headband is separating from the leather that houses the metal tab. Specifically, it seems that the leather is tearing, and the metal tab is pulling through the leather. Has anyone else experienced this? What do you suggest? It doesn't look like the leather will hold much longer. TIA.

Problem resolved! I took them to my local tailor (of all places), and she stitched the tear up within an inch of its life. Now, if the other one goes, I know who take them to.

To say I was gulping hard while she worked would be an understatement!!! When I told her how much they cost, she stared at me as if I had just told her I was Jesus. She probably would've had an easier time believing the latter!

Is your source APL modified (NWO series?). And what are the mods that have been done to your R10 besides a Jena Labs recabled?

Hi,

I had that happen with my CD3000 but not the R10s. Glad to know that you got the issue resolved.

No, I'm using a RAM-modified Esoteric X-01. I've heard the APL, and it's quite good. The R10 really doesn't need much, but a great cable like the Jena helps immensely. Anyone who says the R10s don't have the requisite slam for rock should hear these through a good amp.

Yes. They are so demanding of upstream equipment though. If you feed them with a bad source, and amplifier them with a subpar amp, they usually bad with very light bass response.
