After reading alot and changing my mind alot, ive come down to 3 possible headphones for listening to Electronica, mainly trance.

Id like to spend less than 500$

What ive come up with: Ultrasone PRO-750, PRO-900 or Sony SA5000

I currently will be using onboard audio, but would like to get an amp/dac/soundcard setup or w/e, recommendations that work with these headphones would be awesome altogether under $500 hopefully.

If i get the PRO-900 or SA5000 then id have 100$ less to spend on an amp than if i were to get the 750.

Help is needed thnxX! : D

Whatever you do, stay away from the pro750 unless you want to die from treble exposure and metallic sound overdose

. No, seriously, the pro750 is not suited for your tastes. I haven't heard the pro900 (I've owned both the proline2500 which was OK-ish and the proline750 and I will stay away from the pro(line) in the future), but the sa5000 is a good candidate.

Pro900 is a great headphone, not sibilant to my ears. If you are looking for kick arse bass then the Ultrasone Pro900 delivers. Several say that the bass overwhelms the rest of the sound spectrum, again not to my ears, i find the Pro900 warm, but quite well balanced and second to none that I have heard.

The Pro 900s kick hard. Only phones that I've heard come close to it are the D7000s via tubes.

Hmm, ok. Ive heard the sa5000 bass is lacking is this true? Im talking about kickdrum bass not classical bass : P

No, the SA5000 has plenty of bass. It is deep, tight and very fast.

If you're looking for bloated slop where you can't hear the difference in pitch between bass notes, then the SA5000 isn't for you.

hmm, then i guess it comes down to the SA5000 vs PRO-900, i like bass, but the main reason ive started trying to get better headphones is because my old computer speakers bass was tooooo overwhelming. But It was a cheap system. Can someone compare the two headphones please? : D opinions are great thanks.

I'm of the opinion that the SA5000 is really skewed toward treble while there's a plasticky tone over it making the tonality way off. On the other hand, I haven't heard the Pro 900 too much so I'll refrain from commenting on it.

Same thing I was going to say. I could never understand why anyone would say the SA5K is bass lite. On the other hand, if you like standing next to a sub woofer in a nightclub then the SA5K is not for you.
I only have a HFI-780 so I cannot comment on the PRO-900, it is extremely fun, massive kickin bass but you're fatigued halfway through the first song.

Electronica/trance/newage=SA5000,from someone who has been using them for the past couple years, there only problem is that the sound becomes addictive, the cable can be a problem so be cautious if buying used.
Although with the price you can get them for buy new.

Haven´t heard the 5000 but the 900 doesn´t do all that well unamped.
