Private Message notification not working?

I just opened my head-fi mailbox today and found a message from AdamZuf dated 8-6 sitting in there. I don't think I've received any notification, even though I've turned on pop-up notifications. I also received two other messages today by manually opening the mailbox, and didn't see any notifications.

Just thought I'd post this so people would go check their mailboxes

It's been working okay for me. I haven't missed any notifications at all in the past few days.
