My heavily anticipated PrimaLuna ProLogue Eight CD player was delivered by Santa this afternoon. Right out of the box it sounds FANTASTIC! I can only imagine what it will be like in about 100-200 hours of running time. I will let it break in over the next week and then post an initial review and photos next weekend.

It is CERTAINLY unique. A CD player styled like a tube amp. It is pure tube, right down to the clocking device. Great fun for us tube lovers!

I have been waiting for some feedback on one of these players. Please include any comparisons to other players when you get back to us. Thanks.

I have a Prima Luna amp and the build on this looks very similar; built like a tank to last with a heavy duty power supply.

I received the Primaluna Eight on Friday.
First impression out of the box: WOW! How sweet, how "analogue" sounding! Needs burning in for approx. 50 hours.
I will compare this beauty with some other cd-players:
- Rega Saturn (approx. 2000 EUR)
- Marantz SA17S1 (approx. 2000 EUR)
- Jadis JD3 Evolution (6500 EUR)
- Metronome CD3 Signature (7200 EUR)
More news to come.
(Sorry for my poor English writing!)

I am especially interested in the Rega Saturn comparison so please do not delay. Don't worry about your English. Your honest observations are all that is important. Thanks!
