Just wanted to order mine and got told that they are heavily back-ordered at the moment and also had to increase the price.

Instead of the PrimaLuna I now decided on the Cayin HA-6A which shares a lot of similarities to the higher Evo series, but is a pure headphone amp by design. (And also at a much lower pricetag for most countries)

Fun fact: Both amps are produced in the very same factory

Hey Guys,
I'm on the verge to buy an EVO 300 integrated but I wanted to know if any of you have tried to use it in HT (home theater) mode?
Also, does it really take about 1 minute to have the system ready, or should I could on more than that?
Looking at all the reviews, I have no doubts listening to some music with an EVO will be incredible, I was wondering if watching a movie would give the same kind of feeling.

That's a beautiful system you have! I just got those same Tannoy Mini's earlier this week and am very happy with them. I was thinking about the Evo 400 and I see you have the 300. How do you like the matchup between the 300 and the Mini's - enough power? I see from your signature that you also have the Maggie 1.6's. How is the 300 with them? Thanks!

Thank you! The 300i powers both with authority. Pleanty of current to drive the Maggie. The PrimaLuna is the Pride of my system.

Thanks for the reply. That PrimaLuna looks gorgeous and everything I've read about it makes it more and more attractive. I think it is a matter of whether to get a 300 or 400. I've got 4 different pairs of speakers and the KEF LS50 Meta is the least efficient of them. I'm wondering if the 300 is enough. That would save a bit of money!

There's a primaLuna group on Facebook where you can ask about the 300 with the Kef and I bet you anything people will be able to tell you exactly what you need to know to help you with your decision.

Thank you. I just joined that group yesterday so I should ask about the Kef. By the way, did you have yours shipped to you? I don't live that far from Upscale and so I was thinking of making an appointment. I'm kind of wary when shipping something that nice that is so heavy.

Yes I had it shipped. It's triple boxed and very secure. It weighs a ton though I'd rather the FedEx person Carry it rather than me LOL

Keep in mind that the Evo 400 needs 8x Power Tubes while the 300 only needs 4. That can be massive when you start to Tube Roll!

Oh yeah! A lot more expensive! But I'm not a tube roller. At least not yet, haha..
