hi

i just got my koss ksc 35 and they sound pretty good. when i use my hands and apply pressure to the headphones towards my ears they even better with great bass. however once i remove my hands from the side i loose some of the bass.. is there anyway to keep the headphones pushed against of ears as much as possible? do you know what im talking about or do i need to explain better ?

The bass king of the Koss KSC Line (PortaPro, SportaPro, KSC-35, 50, and 55) is definately the SportaPro. However, many think that the bass is too bloated and strong. If you like crap-loads of bass, though, this would be the one to get. As I recall it is the same price as the KSC-35s you just purchased. As for making the KSC-35s have more bass by adding pressure, I really can't think of any attempted mod that achieved this. IMO, they are pretty balanced as is with enough bass. But if you are inclined to hear more, get the SportaPros.

I can think of one. Buy a pair of those bands that slip over the ends of eyeglasses and work them onto the clips. This will thicken the clips and tighten the fit significantly, bloating the bass even further and drowning out the rest of the music.

I was thinking overnight about this and I thought that I might get those regular big headphones that completely cover your ear with the large domes over your ears. I thought about sticking the ksc 35s in the domes and trying it out that way. Plus with this method less sound will leak. Right now the ksc 35s leak a gangload of sound.

Sorry man, I'll be blunt: that idea sucks. Ive experimented doing such things with another type of headphone before I knew better. The resulting sound will be tinny, thin, and worst of all, bass will not be amplified all that much if at all. If you really don't like the balanced sound of the KSC-35, then you need to get the SportaPros. They have plenty of bass for even the most adamant bassheads.
