Premium 'Fashion cans' ?

    Dear Headfi,

I am looking for a replacement for my OPPO PM3. I've been using them forever since i haven't found something that has:
    - Analytical sound
    - Closed over ear headphones
    - Great looks (not huge or bulky like Fostex TH900)
    - Comfortable

The only thing that springs to mind of the Campfire audio Cascacde. But i have no option to test this. If only OPPO continued making headphones...
Does anyone else have some good recommendations? Budget would be ~1000 euro's.

You might look at the ZMF line and see what you think.
  3. Gego
I've never heard anything from the ZMF for myself but they look nice. Hard to find a dealer here though for testing.

Many of them are semi-open so i wonder how they will hold up when i try to use them in the office.
  4. serman005
Some of those are really more vented and are, according to Zach at ZMF, about 85% closed.

    Transparent and closed, tricky
    serman005 likes this.

I understand, it's like wanting a fast, reliable and cheap car, right? Ofcourse there will be a compromise somwhere.

In that sense the ZMF mentioned above, being ported, might be a good way to go.

Second this. Especially if you want something that looks as good as it sounds.

Come out to CanJam SoCal if you can make it. ZMF will be there. Try out some Empire Ears while you're at it too. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Maybe K553? If you want more premium you could try B&O H6.
  9. Mhog55
I would look / listen to the Beoplay H6, or Audio Technica Msr7b.
