The company just issued an Iphone 3Gs to me. I've never been a fan of the hard flat sound of ipods - I'm a Sony fan. I have always loved the EQ Sony provides.

So, now that I have the Iphone, I may as well use the ipod feature. I am waiting for the arrival of an LOD. Now, I would like to buy a portable amp.

Looking for a "darker" (or warm) presentation - also more bass. $100 is quite enough to spend.

What direction should I head?

Purely from what I have read I believe the Ibasso T4 is slightly on the darker side. The plus point is also that its an ultra portable amp so it wont weigh you down.

Checked the ibasso site - is the T3 going to be as warm as the T4? Also, will it have similar bass boost?
