Precog's IEM Reviews & Impressions

I don’t know. A multi-kilobuck IEM that only sounds good in some limited use cases does not seem like a well designed multi-kilobuck IEM.
I don’t know what to think. I have Monarch Mk2 which is a pretty good kilo-buck all-rounder but not terribly exciting re any genre (imho). I have EE LX for good bass (with the right DAC/amp/tips/cable) and U12T for good treble/technicalities. Not sure if there is a truly good ‘all rounder’ that would satisfy me across all genres.

EE LX serves a purpose extremely well (TOTL bass) whilst keeping other aspects at a high level, so I have no argument with that. My point was that if a multi-kilobuck has so “unique” tuning that it is boxy, honky, sibilant to the point of being enjoyable only with certain genre, with right “synergy” (with other shockingly expensive gear), then it does not seem like a well designed kilobuck at all. Perhaps such IEMs sound “amazing” because of their kilobuck price tag.

Edit: the weird thing about CFA is that when they hit (Andromeda series), they hit it out of the park.

Just stumbled across some news about Elysian's latest IEM release (Gaea?) Maybe you can look into that eventually :)
Is it Gaea or Gaya or Gaia😂

Anyway. It will depend on how much they price it at. I think around 1k it will be ok. But the current state of prototype was neutral in bass with lots of clarity. Defo not a basshead iem. Imaging was not bad, but staging size was... Well, not its selling point, but not claustrophobic either. Will depend on price bracket.
It will be different from Diva. As Divas bass was already juicy on 2nd setting. And Divas technicalities were better.

The price will be inversely proportional to the manufacturing waiting time.

If with the Diva it is already going for more than 5 months (according to the last photo they have posted), with a cheaper IEM you can go for a year quietly.

Well i just dont see that being viable. So there will have to be some adaptations in manufacturing capacities.

But yeh. Diva was actually few months wait. And its not getting better any time soon.

Edit: i was told what price range theyre aiming for. And i think it will affect its success. Or rather influence..

Lee isn’t handling production of that EA iem.

I didn't mean it, it was just irony.

I also didn't know that this new IEM was the collaboration with EA...

I had a feeling it might be the case
It is, yes. Effect Audio had this at their booth and were taking feedback from CanJam London visitors. The cable is from EA as is the wiring inside the IEMs, and these will use the EA manufacturing chain to help avoid delays with Lee handling everything.

Do you mean Elysian Acoustic Labs - Diva ?

Diva
6 BA
3-level of bass switch
Cable: Liquid Links Conti ( Sadly, different with demo unit cable. Thought it will come with Liquid Links Martini in 4 braid copper gold.)

you also can refer to here

https://zeppelinandco.com/products/elysian-diva-uiem?_pos=2&_sid=8b444dedb&_ss=r

I was asking to the new IEM with collaboration with EA. Lee said he was working in something new but never confirmed the driver configuration.
