I wonder what the tuning differences are between this and sr-15, especially since they use the same dac.

I just hope with OS will be fast and snappy, laggy OS just kills it for me. Unfortunately this also means I will need to buy a 2.5mm balanced cable for my IEMs if I decide to buy this player.

AK is famous of its UI but dont expect Android like since it is not.. almost every player now has balanced output... is either 4.4 or 2.5.. only very few has 3.5... but balanced sometime does not automatically become better.. some actually prefer unbalanced over balanced.. so try it out before you purchase balanced cable..
