Powering W5000

Hi. Just wondering what gain setting i should use on my amp to get the most out of W5000's (Hi or Low?). Does this make a difference in sound quality? Thankyou.

Low. W5000 are low impedance and very sensitive. Using low gain will give you more usable adjustment range with the volume control.

Thanks for answering. I have a Talisman t-35hp amp with three gain settings. For K701 i have it on high to drive them. Just wanted to know if the sound quality improves if i set gain for different phones.
I could listen for myself but i'm interested what other people think.
