I've seen a few posts in the For Sale/Trade Forum where people are linking to their own auctions on other sites. Do people think this is okay? I personally think if you have something to sell, sell it here. If you don't want to sell it here, that's fine, just don't don't use Head-Fi to promote it.

Just my 2 cents.

I don't see anything wrong with it personally.

Neither do I, at least as long as its not headphone-specific stuff. It's an easy way of keeping your contact info in one place, so you don't have to check multiple places for responses or whatever.

I like to get a little heads up in the gear for sale/trade forum. I'd also like to plug my auctions there should I ever need to.

I swear you guys will complain about anything.

I have no problem with people posting that they listed something on eBay in the for sale forum here at Head-Fi. Head-Fi does not presently have an auction mechanism even if someone wanted that. And I'd be far more likely to bid on an eBay item knowing it was for sale by someone I actually had conversed with before.

No problemo here either. It's free to sell it here, but if it's being sold elsewhere, let us know about it to save us the time of finding it!!!
