Considering how often I sell things, I'm shocked I haven't bought one of these yet. But with the 500lbs of Quail power cords coming my way in a month or so, I figure now's about the right time to get one.

Anyways, has anyone ever had any experience purchasing these? I'm looking for something digital, not excessively expensive (no more than $100) and able to accurately measure packages up to at least 10lbs.

sorry i dont have an answer for you, but was looking for something myself too.

I'm looking for a scale more in the $20 range, no need to be extremely accurate...just accurate enough to be within 5 grams. Looking for something that can weigh up to 2 kilos.

Can i get a cooking scale? they seem pretty cheap...

Ebay buddy. I use one myself, I found it on ebay and picked it up locally. Was $70.00 for a nice used unit.

I've been using a Micro General MailMate 5005 for the last ten years. They probably have improved models, but for well under $100 this has been deluxe. Digital readout, 5# range, 0.1 ounce resolution has covered most of my mailing needs (and all my homebrewing use, too

I use this small kitchen scale for weighing letters and small packages up to 500 g. It's pretty accurate, it even adds up a few grams on top, so no surprises happen when I am at he post office.

The old fashioned dial scales are the cheapest, and accurate enough, the kitchen or food weighing types. Usually, digitals above 5lbs max jump quite a bit in price. I have both and dial is quicker for me. Weigh item fully packaged, sometimes the box will put it in the next higher price range, if your close.
