Right on, also you should have Relics in that list of PF. I think I'll spin some pink floyd now.

If you enjoy AMT, do yourself a favor and check out Boris. They're another Japanese band -- kind of similar to AMT -- but with more doom-metal influences and a more Sabbath-y vibe. So psychedelic you practically get a contact high when you listen to their albums.

True, but you also need the first PBS album: One Nation Underground

Other key psychedelic albums:

Kaleidescope - Beacon from Mars (or even the later compilation "Bacon from Mars")
It's a Beautiful Day
Quicksilver Messenger Service - Happy Trails
Grateful Dead- Anthem of the Sun, Aoxomoxoa, and/or Live/Dead

I need to dig through my LP collection to come up with some of the really obscure 60's stuff

Oneida Each One Teach One

maybe not pure psych, but more like neo-psych-art-noise-postpunk-crazyness.

14 minute songs playing the same note over and over and over and yet ludicrously catchy. like a drill to the head coated in sugar and THC. the new album "secret wars" is supposed to be even better.
oneida, yes

Most of Pink Floyd's music. Especially Atom Heart Mother and Meddle. The psychedelic aspect comes from the fact that when I first started listening to that music back in the day, I was usually three sheets to the wind. The fond memories of that are still with me to this day.
