People are so talent with their cameras here. I dunno how you all get the colors and contrast right. I need to take some shots of iem gear and was wondering how you can take professional micro shots with a smartphone camera. I have a Galaxy S8. What do you have to do to get great shots with a smartphone? Or is my camera hopeless, and need to get a good camera for the deed?

It's been some time since I've taken gear shots, but AFAIR the results from my smartphone cameras have never looked great. I mainly do landscapes now, and comparing what I'm getting even from my cheap $300 Casio cam (like the shot posted above) to what I'm getting from my LG V30 smartphone makes me use the latter only as a last resort, if I have nothing else at hand.
I find photography is a little like the headphone hobby - gear matters. A good photographer can use a cell phone to make a great composition, but not necessarily a great photograph, as the equipment needs the resolving power to reallly get the details.
