Seems like everyone's practically a pro now. Loving the macro and model images. By trade I'm a macro still life photographer but sometimes I shoot models and items larger than my head. Here's one smaller than my head:

Back in the day, I could never afford one but used them a lot at work. I did buy a Bronica 4x4. The 4x4 focal-plane shutter was so loud it would frighten people while doing portraits.

I have a Fujifilm GX680 III - that thing is loud. the coolest thing about it is the rotating back and front movements, which is a viable solution in lieu of a technical camera for a variety of photography. In the end I sold it for a Linhof M679cs.

(I use the same digital back on it.)

Fuji is singlehandedly keeping the medium format alive from what I can tell. Last roll of film I exposed was in 2010. I think it looks better and has a more natural contrast? But where I live film is just difficult to use.

If you go for a film back you can find one in good working condition for around 1000$ (here in Japan), so it's not so much a dream as it is an investment project.

I have a big collection of Nikon film cameras but another camera which I used at work was a Contax with a Carl Zeiss lens. They were amazingly clear lens better than Nikon. There could be a bunch of used manual Contax bodies and Carl Zeiss lens on the used market for a song.

Amazing how far Fujifilm went to copy the look of that camera in the X-T1. But yeah, great camera.

Because Zeiss made this slit-lamp, they included the Contax bodies. They were on each side for stereo. The attractive price was $60K.

You are correct, I saw a few in mint condition in Ginza last year around 150,000 Yen but decided not yo get it because the additional lens will cost me in the future.  I better stick with Nikon and Fuji for now until digital medium format back come down in price.
