Spring has sprung, so once again my thoughts drift away from the indoor leisure time pursuits of Music, Headphones, Computers and TV to my ultimate outdoor leisure activity Motorcycle Riding.

So in honor of Spring I am starting this Post pictures and descriptions of your baby (Motorcycle) thread.


My Baby is a 2000 Suzuki GSX-1300R Hayabusa. Modified and massaged to suit my tastes. Most mods were designed to make the bike lighter and therefore better handling. The bike was Dyno Tuned by Orient Express, during which it ran 35 full dyno runs. With the custom map the bike at sea level puts out 166 Horsepower

and 102 foot/pounds of torque

. Certainly more than enough to haul my rather large self around

Muzzy Full Titanium Exhaust System 7.5 Lbs. (Stock 34 Lbs.)
Penske Racing Shock with remote reservoir.
Braided Stainless Steel Lines (All)
Custom Bobbed rear end with integrated rear turn signals.
1.5” bar Risers
Custom mount for Radar detector and GPS
Zero Gravity ST wind screen
Lockhart Tank Bra
Lockhart Aluminum foot pegs
Lockhart Sliders

Modifications you can’t see.
DynoJet Power Commander – Custom Mapped by Orient Express
K&N Performance Air Filter
TRE (Timing Retard Eliminator)
Front Forks Stiffer Springs and re-valved
Carbon Fiber hugger.

The Titanium Exhaust, Penske reservoir and Braided Lines.

The Bobbed rear.

As fast as I choose to go. Although even with me on it it will go faster.

A Harley it isn't, Thank God.

Nice ride Yikes! And, uh, yikes about the top speed. I've had the trumpet up around 130 (indicated) and that's way too fast for comfort for me. On the track I tape over the speedo so I'm not even tempted to look.

I no longer ride anywhere near that fast. I have chronic back problems

so I hardly ride at all, and the crouch that is necessary at such speed is totally ruled out.

Redline in 1st gear on a Hayabusa is significantly above the National speed limit

. There is an old saying that sort of holds true with a Hayabusa.

Yikes, your bike puts out about the same horsepower as my 4000 pound car. Dayum. Sweet rides, gentlemen.

I rode a 94' GSXR-750 for two years.. loved it but just couldn't find enough uncrowded roads to drag the knees So I went to the dark side and I tell ya it's comfort cruisin at it's best.
I posted an earlier thread about my XL1200C. I love the low RPM torque.

a stock '02 SV 650 here, which i picked up used last summer with only 3000 miles on it. been using mostly for commuting and haven't had much time to work on it to do some much-needed upgrades (fork oil change and exhaust, for starters)...the weather is unbelievable here in northern cali and the riding has been fantastic!!
