finally was able to buy another Iaudio7 4GB after my first one deid last Summer, I've been using the Sansa Clip 1Gb to hold me up since, just got it today and forgot how awesome it was, i haven't posted here in a while but i've decided on my future rig:

Iaudio7 4GB (Maybe 8GB for future tense) > Mini^3 > Grado Sr225

Since my budget is a little bit more loose I can get my next Grados by march
and Mini^3 by april or even late march

Does anyone have an ideal on their next full rig or single upgrade?

I'm waiting for the next generation iPod Touch. I think it'll go to 64GB and should have a better battery life. Then, I'll finally retire the 5G 30GB iPod. I'll keep the RS-1/MDR-7509HD lineup for listening.

current:
iaudio7 16gb -> B&O A8
iAudio X5L 30Gb -> AT ESW10jpn

future:
Some sort of large capacity DAP -> UE 11pros

not going to happen for a long time, and I'm quite satisfied with X5 -> ESW10 combo.

The UE-11 is coming soon. I want to retire the 60GB ipod. I was looking at an Archos 5. It SEEMED to be perfect. It's really not worth it.

This afternoon we fortunately had a power outage which lasted a couple of hours. So picture this, bucketing down with rain outside, no power inside- a perfect excuse to have a couple of hours listening to my 2 players.

The conclusion i come to is that my s639 player with my modified er-4p's is outstanding. 16gb is ample storage space, even for extended trips away. No further amplification required.
As for my little 4gb clip, a superb little player, but with the ety's it does need some amplification when compared to the Sony player. Luckily my supermicro does this job aplenty. Then again, when paired with the earbuds supplied with the s639, it sounds very nice- great bass, trebles and mids a wee bit recessed, but for size, form and how i use them the overall sq is superb.

In a nutshell, no upgrade required for the foreseeable...

I am looking to replace my 1G iPod nano in the not too distant future, and also need a nice pair of IEM's. That's all...
