Handy for people with 2560x1600/1440 monitors as a lot of the wallpapers come in those sizes. I make do with 1920x1200 haha.

Just a little script I found, which is now lost somewhere on my computer. But I can probably dig it up again if anyone's interested. The menu still comes up when you push the windows key, so it's just for looks.

It's a great idea to get rid of the Start button. I never use that thing.

I didn't change the background from when I got the computer which was not long ago. I like not having a lot of contrast in the picture because it matches my laptop shell and most sites are light colored which blends in with the browser window and taskbar. I never see the desktop much, only to switch programs. Most of the time firefox is up or some other windows.

Used to have more menubar apps and whatnot running until I realised how much CPU it hogs....nice and clean now. The desktop is just a place where I hold stuff I need to work on really...

Wallpaper is a shot I took while in the Alps south of Munich back in October. I'm sure the area is an Abominable Snowman breeding ground by this time of the season.
