can be opening track (non-full song) or interlude off an album

might be cause its funny as hell or unusually good for an interlude, whatever the reason. post it!

at the moment mine is the opening track on CD 1 on R U Still Down? by 2pac

"Redemption" - love the stringed instrument (?) playing throughout, makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up!

I hate skits on albums. When I rip an album for my MP3 player, I usually delete them from the track listing. When I listen at home, I usually don't bother skipping [screws with the flow], but I grit my teeth.

? does this fit

'Rainy day, dream away'

Hey man, take a look out the window 'n' see what's happ'nin'
Hey man, it's rainin'
It's rainin' outside man
Aw, don't worry 'bout that
Everything's gonna be everything
We'll get into somethin' real nice you know
Sit back and groove on a rainy day
Yeah
Yeah I see what you mean brother, lay back and groove.

The street interviews on the Bonzos Shirt song springs to mind. Not a fan of those spoken intermissions on various rap albums though.

How about the "spider!" thing at the end of Lusk's Free Mars?

La Gazza Ladra intro on Marillon's Thieving Magpie album. Awesome graduation.

What's an "interlude?" Serious question.

It's a period of transition between two periods of play. For example, the teacher shouting "Stand Still, Laddie!" from the helicopter on The Wall. Sometimes it's an additional track, sometimes it's just something that doesn't count as part of the music. I'd nominate the war sounds that preface the start of "One" by Metallica
