I use 5.6ghz wireless transmitter to send my SPDIF signal to my subwoofer which is in other side of my room. It has it's own DAC/amp with the signal coming from digital crossover so it's basically the same configuration.

If you find them to be as nice as I have, let the folks at ACR know. I told them that the ability of these things to close off silently and make far less noise when partially open would be a great selling point. The owner asked for permission to use that info and my comments on their new site, but I can't find anything about that now.

The best thing about them is that people who come down here immediately presume that they are in-ceiling speakers, then wonder why I have one so close to the front speakers, and then get this quizzical look when they cannot figure out how the sound is supposed to get out of them! "There are no holes in these speaker grilles? Why?"

Maybe I don't understand, but can't you put all of your electronics with your projector and find ways to run speaker wires to the other side of the room? Speaker wires are also the "easiest" to install in your walls. If your basement is under you, you can run them right in your walls pretty easily.

Hah! Thanks 1911. Yes it did take some convincing of the wife to set that basement up. I got the go ahead by letting her have a "girls movie night" once a week!

madmax7, nice setup, I notice you got 3 tv's in your "sports"/"college football saturday". Do you have them to cover one game from 3 different station or to see other games?

3 different games. I have Dish Network and Cable. So I can always be watching 3 different college football games!

Like i said, I'm mostly a 2 chanel audio guy... home theater isn't my thing; but i do like to use my projector now and then. like most 2 channel audio guys, my electronics sits between my speakers, and i generally prefer it that way. i wouldn't want to move my whole setup for the sake of the odd movie.. and definitely no holes in the wall :p.

I guess i'll just get a long coax sometime soon. thanks
