Not sure whether I should be posting this here, but I noticed that since a few days my post count can't seem to pass the 1,080 mark

. Whenever I pass the mark, a few posts later I notice that I am back in the 1,070s again. Is this some kind of head-fi time travel loop thing or are there sinister forces at work here?

I find it even stranger that there seems to be a mysterious relation to my research here. I am a historian who at the moment works on the 11th century and the year 1080 is the cut-off of a certain period I am working on now. I kid you not. So what's going on here? Has my research invaded and taken over my brains and am I seeing things or is the software having fun at my expense?

Let's see if this post become number 1,081 (it should) and stays that way...

Perhaps history catch up with you, and every time you try to outrun it drag you back in...

That's actually impossible if he drives a Honda Civic like I do.

The unfortunate truth is that most newcomers see post count as something impressive (if it's high enough).

I can name at least two people off the top of my sleep-deprived head right now who got the majority of their posts talking about banter and insults.

OP consider yourself lucky if your post count is indeed frozen. Now you can enjoy, and participate in this community as much as you want without seeming "over the top" like myself
