Hello.

I am going to buy a new headphones and I couldn't find any response to my questions.

I am considering a headphones like AKG K420 (\ K430) \ K450. It's a portable and small model. Does the small size has an impact on sound quality? What is the quality in comparison to full-size open\semi-closed models? How about the larger, but still lightweight Koss UR40?

Are there any other brands\models that you would recommend?

The AKG K420/430/450 series are nice sounding and well-made headphones. I reviewed the K430 in my roundup review:

While I liked the sound a great deal I found them a bit uncomfortable. Read the comments and you will see that some users really liked the K422 model, which is similar to the K422 but has mesh fabric earcups. It's also cheaper than the K430 or K450.

I've have not heard the Koss UR40, but see my thread for other recommendations and you should be able to find some reviews of the UR40 here.

Good luck!

+1  That's a good place to start.

I'm not saying that you belive this, but I just wanted to point out to any new Head-Fiers that may read this - driver/headphone size is not a good indication of sonic quality.
