Portable? or can't stand portable?...

Stand Alone Gear and main broadcaster:
AK100 > Apogee BigBen > Apogee mini DAC > XBA-40 or SE846 (No Filters)
 
Narrow down above to this to make it portable;
AK100 > Apogee Mini-DAC (Battery Powered) - Balanced Out > RS SA71 > SE846 (No Filters)
 
Plan to try with Antelope Master Clock in between so called Portable... see if I could get Analogtic sound as like as my main..
 
Have been tried various DACs, think about getting HiFiman-M8...
 
Occasionally use just Ray Samuels SA-71 with AK100...
 
 All time my buddy is MDR-7506 (little over 10 years)..
 
 
Any advise will be welcomed..

I think what you need is to look for an IEM that sounds like a Grado.

Check out reviews though. Last I read reviews on Grado IEMs, they don't sound anything like their headphones, which means something like theold UM3X sounds a lot closer to the SR225 than the GR8. Not too sure about the GR10E but double check anyway.
