I know this question gets asked a lot, but I was just wondering if the iPod was still at the top of the chart these days in terms of sound quality, etc out of the MP3 players out there. It doesn't really matter to me if it's HDD based or CF/SM, but I'd like a minimum of 256MB storage and preferably more.

All recommendations are as always very much appreciated, thanks in advance!

Most people generally say the Jukebox 3 has the best sound quality. The size is bigger, but to me thats not an issue. BTw the smallest Jukebox 3 you can buy is 20gigs and also has a 40gig model.

Jukebox 3 huh? I wouldn't have guessed that. How's the battery life?

The nice thing about the Jukebox 3 is it has 2 batter bays. One battery lasts about 12 hours (4 hour charge) and two will last 22 (8 hour charge)
