Portable Music Players for Stax?

Hi Everyone,

I have a pro lambda with srm007 amp and was wondering if anyone uses their portable music player for stax? What do you use with your stax and how do you like it?


Also, can anyone recommend me an audiophile quality/good quality music player with at least 30GB of space that works well with Stax? I don't want to spend more than $150 probably. Thanks!

Stax headphones can't be used in a portable manner. You'd need a car battery etc to power them. Hope you've got strong shoulders.

In any case I don't think any portable player in the $150 bracket belongs to the high end forum, no matter how high-end are the phones and amps you're using.

High-End is not always measured in $$, but its a limit how cheap you can go...

but if my portable player is connected to the amp, then shouldnt the amp provide all the power and drive it and the player just act as a source?
