I am getting some Sen HD497s

This is for listening to my MP3 player.

But I was wondering what's available out there that is small, somewhere along the size of those old yellow Sony Sports Walkman style headphones.

I prefer the vertical as opposed to behind the head. I have just not found a pair of behind the heads that were very comfortable.

The same for earbuds..they always seem to fall out of my ears...

I have never found any of those small ones like the Sony you
mentioned sonically satisfying. I ended up settling for Sportapro
and KSC-35/50 type for my mobile setup( with muvo player ),
specially during jogging or other activities. Sportapro stays on
better for me.

Enjoy,

I forgot to mention, try out the Sportapro, they can be configured
to use as vertical or behind the head, and they are adjustable.
I found them more comfortable than others while they stay on
well during activities.

Enjoy,

They're made by Koss. Although I don't have the Sportapros, I do have the Portapros, which are generally regarded as superior to the Sportapros. I think if you don't really want the behind the head style, you should get the Portapros. The Sportapros retail for ~$30, and the Portapros ~$50, but with a coupon code you can get the Portapros half off from Koss's website (www.koss.com). Just use coupon code 617A at the checkout.

Hope that helps.
