Hey!

Looking to buy some headphones plus amp for the.

I cant afford to go for some high prices yet. I was thinking about audiotechnika m30. Or something in the price range. Ideally closed, will be wearing the on the roads between ppl. Up to 80e.
And for them some amp. I really dont know where should I go. If its worth to go for fiio A3 or something cheaper will be fine for headphones in that price range. Thanks for any suggestions

Argh Im so lost with the dac :D Should I go for the Q1 mark 2? But it doesnt have good android support. Should I try fiio BTR1? and then get headphones with changable cable, and have really good Bluetooth set up? Do you know how it is compared the sound quality of btr1 to the q1 mark ii or A3?

//edit

Okay. Audio Technica m40x + Fiio BTR1 what do you say?

I'd much rather save up and get a better headphone, maybe even skip the amp or DAC-HPamp for now unless your phone is just horrible. Something like the Meze 99 or the Focal Listen, Listen Pro, or Spirit Pro.

BTR1 has a lot less power than the A3 and much shorter battery life. It's a single integrated audio chip running off a small battery designed for max portability and convenience, so not really in the same category as the A3 or Q1 MkII. It really boils down to whether the headphones you use will need more power from the others, although personally any portable that does isn't really all that portable.

I'm much more inclined to go with a Meze 99 and BTR1. Havent head the Meze yet but I've heard the M40X, and comparing what I heard to what I read on the Meze, I'd much rather gamble on that one.

Well, originally I just wanted to buy the Superlux 681 EVO having the old 681 model for 5 years. But then I started to climb, and climb, and lets put there some more money. And I told myself 100e for the headphone is limit for me atm. So I think I'll be ok with the M40X. It will still be quite a jump. And after some time again I can think about getting something more in the higher level. Mezze 99 goes for 200e in my country. I'd feel like spending too much money on headphones.

About the dac.... I quite like the idea that I can have any wireless headphones without loosing on quality, on the other side increasing it. The main source will be Moto G5s plus. I will try how it can power the M40X and then I will see.

Fuuuuuck but the Focal looks just so sexy. Mainly listen pro. But thats too much for me. Altho Focal Listen I can get for 166e.... Soooo you would say Focal Listen without dac is better then M40X with the dac?

Audio Technica ATH-WS99 headphones, used ones (on eBay) sell for a low price.

I don't want to go to eBay for used ones if I can avoid it. I live in Slovakia and the delivery from everywhere is quite far. I don't know. I kinda want own. Even if I have to sacrifice little of quality.

I think I'll go with the focal listen. Ill get DAC, later in the year if it will be needed.

I'd get the Listen Pro. But in case you really want to stay at around $100 you can look into the Brainwavz HM5.

Hello. So I have the focal listen with me. I feel like for 166 it was great deal. First impresions great. But i feel like my moto g5s plus camt power them enough. I get static and would enjoy if there is room for even higher volume. Sooo Dac. What do you think. FIIO Q3? Or the BTR1... Its tepmting to get Bluetooth heaphones. Also any idea how long do these take to burn in? Im looking forward to plug them into my laptop.

That really depends on what you prefer and how to use them. If you want something you can clip onto your shirt then no question, get the BTR1. If you want something that has more power (not that you need that much more power) with likely lower distortion and noise at the output level you use them, and provided you don't use that much more power than the BTR1, longer battery life, then there's the Q3.

Yeah I think Ill go for the BTR1.... The Focal doesnt need all that much power. And wirelless is still cool thing to have. I dont have problem with charging it everyday.

Just wanted to say. The setup is great! It's working beautifully. I'm using the BTR even with my laptop. Total love. Nothing else. Couldn't ask more for the money. Thanks <3
