Hey all,

I'm looking for a good portable headphone amp/dac to go with my iphone, my Shure SE-215s, and possibly my Audio-Technica ATH-M50s.

Requirements:
  1. Less Than $150
  2. Portable
  3. Has bass boost switch or allows for changing of bass
  4. Can plug into iphone's lightning port and DAC-ify it.
Currently looking at the Fiio amps and dacs. I found https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GCDJBMM/ref=s9_acsd_hps_bw_c_x_20_w but not sure if it's meant for iphones or will work with them.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Fiio makes some good products, and I in fact own the E10k and the sound quality is decent, but there's also the iFi product line as well (which I can't really provide an informed opinion on). Their products look really nice and have some impressive specifications. The nano appears to support iphones. https://ifi-audio.com/portfolio-view/nano-idsd/#tab2

Options are limited at your budget. Maybe check out a FiiO Q1 and see what you think. It is possible it could work for you. If you could go desktop, there would be some better options near your price range.

FiiO makes plenty of affordable gear like the Q1 and A5, good place to start!
