I'm looking to upgrade my Hiby R3 to something more fully-featured with a larger user interface. The main issue I have with portable DAPs is that most seem to have poor standby battery and/or poor standby batter life. I'd like to find something that has standby battery life of at least a couple of weeks and can do 15+ hours of continuous playback. Can anyone recommend me some models/brands to try?

Welcome to headfi...apologies to your wallet in advance...

If you didn't need extra features which unfortunately it seems you do, I would otherwise recommend Cowon Plenue D, hard to beat the sound quality & 100 hours battery life.

Check out the Sony A40 Walkman. It offers around 45 hours of battery life.
