Hey, my first post. I'm a student, looking for budget, great sounding over ear headphones for £140ish. I fell in love with my ie6 but thought I needed something more.I listen to dubstep, electronic, rock and experimental. I'm a bass head, and like clear hard hitting earthquakes, but I also need something well built. Any suggestions?? ( I'm looking at vmoda lp2 and the maudio q40)

The M-audio headphones are good, but if you want something more solid try the HFI-580.

OKay, shouldn't advice such a thing that I don't have tested myself, but do check into B&W P3's - though they're a bit up from 140 pound. If they're anything like my P5's they do offer quite good bass, a fair amount of noise isolation and still be rather clear. Actually my P5's have even a bit too much bass for my liking, but am sure would be different in your case. Nice and solid build, on-ear so not too large plus do fold down nicely for portability. I'd say worth to try out.
