i have an iriver, h10 and am looking for a portable amp to bring out the deep base, as wells as smooth out the mids at highs. I've seen alot of good things about the pa2v2. I know its very small, sounds great, and has awesome battery life. Is there anything else out there in the same price range that could compete with it. ALso, i read about the xin micro 3, that is really tiny, and a bit more expensive. How does that compare to the pa2v2 sound wise. Also. Im looking to get a good pair of headphones for the house. Im looking at sennheirser(?) I want one that has very low deep, rich bass, but doesnt cover up the smooth mids, or crisp highs. Which one should i look at from them. I've heard things bout the 485's, 555's and 595's. Just looking for some input before i fork over the money, thanx

by the way, i listen to mostly rock off all types, and a little bit of rap. So basically, what are 2 of the best sennheisers for that genre. Also what are some headphones that compete with the senn. (sry, i know this should be in the headphones one but i tied the amp and headphone question together so i didnt have to write two things)

I have the 485s and they are very good for the money ($70~) (imo) they can easily be powered by the PA2V2 and I would guess almost any amp, they are not power hogs and are a lot of fun.

They are less refined and look and feel cheaper than say the 580s but they are 1/2 the price. The 485s / PA2V2 combo tends slightly towards the bassy side - not a problem for me but YMMV.
